The DYO Chamber Music Summer Courses are designed for young musicians (from age 9 to 18) with some experience in orchestra and chamber music and also for those who are completely new to ensemble playing.

String players at all levels will have the opportunity to explore a rich and varied repertoire of chamber and orchestral music. Each string quartet is coached by a dedicated expert tutor for the duration of the course.  Wind players have the opportunity to explore a full repertoire of classical, jazz, swing and blues music with an experienced wind tutor.  Our percussion course offers younger players the chance to get involved in music whilst joining in with all the summer camp fun!

The courses offers a unique blend of music-making and traditional summer camp fun activities, including swimming, rounders, uni-hoc, orienteering, football, tennis, drama and the annual talent show.
