Concert Orchestra
Players can advance from the Intermediate Orchestra to the Concert Orchestra, whose 100 or so members are string, wind, brass and percussion players aged 13 – 17.
An enjoyable programme programme of concerts and tours for teenagers.
Concert Orchestra members work with their conductor Kevin Corcoran and a professional tutor on a varied programme of classical and pop repertoire each year. The Concert Orchestra performs at the DYO Annual Gala and its members also look forward to a bi-annual national tour. The orchestra recently traveled to Donegal for a weekend of friendship-building and music-making in collaboration with Donegal Youth Orchestra.
